We are people of all ages who are interested in the science of astronomy. While many are accomplished observers and astrophotographers, others are new to the hobby. The LCAS tries to respond to all levels of interest. Various members own large telescopes, some of which they've built themselves from scratch. On the other hand, some members don't own any telescope at all, but simply enjoy observing the night sky with their unaided eyes.
Chesmont Astronomical Society
The Chesmont Astronomical Society is a non-profit amateur astronomy club with a strong emphasis on observing. We meet each month off Route 100 between Exton and Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and we observe every dark window and every other chance we can get! Please read our About Us pages for more information.
Barnard Astronomical Society
The Barnard Astronomical Society is for amateur and professional astronomers as well as anyone interested in astronomy. Our monthly meetings are SECOND THURSDAY of each month held at UTC's Clarence T. Jones Observatory on Brainerd Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Programs are presented at each meeting by members or special guests. Outside activities include star parties (telescopic observations), field trips to science centers, planetariums, etc.
Central Maine Astronomical Society
The Central Maine Astronomical Society is an active and growing club interested in observing the night sky, building and understanding telescopes and involving the public in the appreciation of the science of astronomy. Please come and join us. We meet occasionally throughout the year, and hold at least one star party every month, too. See the events page for more information on times and dates.
Austin Astronomical Society
The Austin Astronomical Society (Austin, Texas, USA) conducts public educational events and programs in amateur astronomy and space science for the enjoyment and benefit of Society members and interested members of the general public amateur astronomy community.
LinkToSpace is a part of the dutch Spacepage website. LinkToSpace is founded by Kris Christiaens in 2005 and contains many links to astronomy related websites. The website should be a guide for the people who are looking for good astronomic or spaceflight information with the possibilities for the user to give feedback on those websites.
